Older Blank Indexed Bruins Autographs

I thought today I would do a post on Blank index auto's and some I have date back a while ago. I was told that a majority of these I acquired came from a collector who sent in thousands of auto requests. He sent them directly to the teams and not the player's home. It is nice knowing that my collection has some unique items from an auto collector that was experienced in making these blank index cards. I purchased a large lot of these, and I hope to be able to find the others I need for my Bruins Auto collection.

This one is a Cliff Pennington index card signed by Cliff. As you can see, he personalized this one. The maker of this card is different with some of the others as you will see in the others.

This one of Wayne Brown shows the Bruins Emblem "B" as the Pennington did not. Wayne also added "Have Fun". Wayne played in only 4 games all with the 1953-54 season. Wayne Passed away September 20, 2019, at the age of 88.

This one is of Ray Getliffe and now there are more additions to the card. The Stanley Cup and the Bruins 75th season and the emblem. Ray won two Stanley Cups, his first was with 1938-39 Bruins and his second with the 1943-44 Montreal Canadiens. Ray passed away June 15, 2008, at the age of 94.

This one is Pentti Lund and this one has the Boston Garden along with the Bruins emblem "B". I have a majority of these with the old Boston Garden. Lund also added the inscription ROY '49 which indicates he won the Calder trophy as Rookie of the Year. Pentti Lund passed away April 16, 2013, at the age of 87.

This one is of Alan Rittinger and as you can see this one has the Bruins "B" emblem which is how the "B" looked for that year which was the 1943-44 season as Alan only played that year and appeared in 19 games. Alan Rittinger passed away December 10, 2017, at the age of 92.

This one is Barry Wilkins and what is odd about this one is it has the Stanley Cup along with the Boston Garden and Bruins "B" emblem but Wilkins never won a Stanley Cup. Barry Wilkins passed away June 26, 2011 at the age of 64.

So that is just a small sampling of these types of blank index cards and as one can see whoever made these did a great job and used the correct photo which indicates this person was a collector from many years ago. I just am glad I have these in my collection and whoever the creator was I must say a BIG THANK-YOU. That is all for today but keep coming back and checking out my blog and if you like then please click the follow icon to become a follower and if there is a certain Bruins autograph you want to see please leave a comment and I will do my best to show the auto. Cheers!!!!
