TODAYS ENTRY DATE

I decided to delete one of my pages My Monthly additions and change it to Today's Entry. This webpage will be entries made on the day I get a new autograph, or something happens that is huge to the Bruins autograph collection.

Whenever the entry date is in RED it will signify big news to the collection, it could be for an upcoming card release date, a major autograph that I have located.

If an entry date is in GOLD  it will signify a minor news to the collection or anything to the team or hobby in general.

If an entry date is in GREEN it will signify a new player card for a Bruins rookie player or a new player to the team that has that player with the Bruins on the card and in a Bruins uniform.

09/26/2022 My first entry I decided would be in RED because I will show the new additions that I have acquired. The way it will work for each day I get a new autograph either through the mail or any that I have purchased I will do the entry for that specific day.

This card is the 2021-22 Black Diamond Sparkling Rookie Scripts certified autograph card of Jack Ahcan. Nice addition to the collection.

This card is the 2020-21 Upper Deck AHL card of Paul Carey. I got this one back through the mail and he is not an easy auto to acquire through the mail, so I was pleased to get his auto.

This card is the 2021-22 Parkhurst Rookie card of Jeremy Swayman. When I sent this autograph card request out, I thought I may never see these rookies again, but I was quite shocked to open the envelope and see them both autographed. It really changed about how I thought about a lot of today's players not wanting to sign. A huge one to delete from my want list and a huge thank-you to Jeremy for taking the time to sign for my collection.

This card is the 2016-17 SP Authentic Future Watch autograph card of A.J. Greer. I am hoping that A.J. continues to play well and signs a contract for a few seasons so I can get his autograph on a card showing him in a Bruins uniform.

I got this one in the mail and this is another tough autograph to acquire. I have written to Frank several times with nothing back so I have decided I would not try again and picked this one up.

09/29/2022 Today's entry is another mail day as I got two envelopes back and when I opened them, they were from the same player, but it was good because I needed the player. The player was Craig Smith as I must have sent to him the year before and I just sent to him about 3 weeks ago, so he mailed back each set of cards I sent.

The top row is from the 2021-22 Upper deck and the bottom two are from the 2020-21 Upper Deck. This way I can choose from the 5 autos. I will say that he does have a very nice looking autograph and from looking at them in a group they are all consistent in appearance.

09/30/2022   What a way to end the month. As many of you know or for you that do not I collect Boston Bruins autograph cards and there are some players that are still alive but are hard to get through the mail. If I had to choose between Certified or Between the Mail I would choose Certified but of course there are some players that never have a certified auto card wearing a Bruins uniform. However I have been chasing Michael Ryders certified auto card for the past 10 plus years.

I am quite happy to say that I have finally made a deal and landed the White Whale. I hope I receive the card next week as I will be looking forward to that one.

Also I have made a deal to pick up two players cut autographs from the 1920's. Those two players are Myles Lane and none other than Hal Winkler. Winkler during the 1927-28 season appeared in 44 games with a record of 20 wins 13 losses and 11 ties. The impressive stat is in those 44 games he had 15 shutouts and that is the Bruins all-time record for shutouts in a season.

Myles Lane was a defenseman and played 3 seasons with the Boston Bruins he won the Stanley Cup in the 1928-29 season with Boston. This was the franchises first cup and that is why I am quite thrilled to of picked up Myles Lane cut autograph along with Hal Winklers.

This is the Hal Winkler cut autograph. Very sweet autograph.

This is the Myles Lane cut autograph. Another sweet autograph and as many autographs from the 1920's it is signed in pencil.

10/03/2022  Today is the day I got the 2011-12 Upper Deck Signature Sensations Certified autograph card of Michael Ryder. I can finally cross this white whale off my want list.

This is the card and I love the colors as the teal makes the black and gold colors more vivid. If you look at the right side of the card you can see the reflection of Ryders stick and glove it makes the card look 3D.
